The base of this piece was constructed upside down with a cradle to support the sculpture once it’s turned right side up.
The cradle is separated from the cocoon base with blue shop towels that will burn out during the firing
The base is flipped right side up. The cradle is the main support for the sculpture.

The hole in the stomach served as the main entry while coil building the figure.
